The Lake Granbury Medical Center Dermatology Residency Program is an ambulatory-based Dermatology residency program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME ID: 0804800001, NRMP Program Code: 2335080R0) and sponsored by Health Education Services (ACGME ID: 470075). Our residency program is accepting applications for the next class of three PGY2 residents to start on July 1, 2024. Once our program is fully built, we will have a full complement of nine residents in our program. Currently, our program trains three incredible physicians.
The primary clinical site of Bare Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center / Cockerell Dermatology is the foundation of the program, offering a strong general dermatology experience across a significant, diverse patient base in one building.
The dermatopathology experience will take place in a high-volume, efficient operation that will expose and educate our residents on a broad range of pathology. Our inpatient consult experiences, both adult and pediatrics, will take place in premier local hospitals as welcome additions to existing consult services while under the supervision of seasoned, dedicated faculty.
Specialty experiences in the fields of complex medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and laser therapy will be available to and required of all of our residents and will be instructed by members of our faculty. Our faculty will serve as educators and mentors to our residents, supporting their personal and professional growth through compassionate, consistent and ethical practice.
All of us at Lake Granbury Medical Center look forward to the addition of the next generation of resident physicians within our community teaching hospital and ambulatory network. Our leadership is committed to fostering dynamic learning environments, and our diverse allopathic and osteopathic faculty with extensive medical education experience, are ready to guide you on your career path.
